Unit Overview
India and Jacob—a fictional, world-traveling brother and sister duo—guide kids through the engineering activities. In this unit, kids are introduced to the field of aeronautical engineering as they design a variety of flying technologies. After experimenting with vertical wind tunnels, drop-copters, and spinning discs, kids are asked to design model flying technologies to help take aerial photos of the biggest desert on Earth: The Empty Quarter. | ![]() |
